Product Description
The combiner box is a wiring device in the photovoltaic power generation system that ensures the orderly connection and confluence function of photovoltaic modules. This device can ensure that the photovoltaic system is easy to cut off the circuit during maintenance and inspection, and reduce the range of power outage in case of photovoltaic system failure. The combiner box means that the user can connect a certain number of photovoltaic cells with the same specification in series to form a photovoltaic tandem, and then connect several photovoltaic tandem to the photovoltaic combiner box in parallel. After converging in the photovoltaic combiner box, through the controller, DC distribution cabinet, Solar inverter, and AC distribution cabinet, a complete photovoltaic power generation system can be formed to achieve grid connection with the mains.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the function of a PV combiner box in a solar system?
A PV combiner box functions as a wiring device that gathers the output of multiple solar module strings in parallel. This simplifies system wiring, makes the system easy to cut off during maintenance, and protects the system by reducing power outage range in case of a fault.
What components are integrated into the combiner box for system safety?
It features high-reliability protective components including DC fuses, DC surge protective devices (SPD), and DC circuit breakers or DC load isolation switches to safeguard the circuit against overcurrent and lightning strikes.
What is the protection rating and is it suitable for outdoor environments?
Yes, the box features an IP65 protection grade. It is designed to be waterproof, dustproof, and anti-ultraviolet, having undergone strict high and low-temperature tests to ensure long-term outdoor stability.
What type of solar modules are compatible with this PV combiner box?
It is compatible with single crystal silicon solar modules, polycrystalline silicon solar modules, and thin-film solar modules. The current ratings of components can be modified according to specifications.
What is the maximum DC voltage and temperature range supported?
The combiner box supports a maximum DC system voltage of 1000V DC. It operates reliably in temperatures ranging from -25 °C to +55 °C under a relative humidity of 0-95% (no condensation).
