Instructions for Use
  • Default Input Voltage Range: 12-60V DC.
  • Adjusting Output Voltage: Adjust the V-adj potentiometer to match the target voltage of your load device.
  • Adjusting Output Current: Turn the I-adj potentiometer counterclockwise about 30 turns to set the output current to minimum, connect the load, and then adjust the potentiometer to the desired current level.
  • Battery Charging Setup: Connect the battery after it has discharged, adjust the constant current (CC) potentiometer to the required charging current. Note that as the battery charges up, the charging current will naturally decrease.
  • Important Safety Note: Do not use short-circuit methods to adjust the current, as the circuit structure of this boost module does not support short-circuit tuning.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the input voltage range of this boost converter?
The module supports two switchable input voltage ranges: 12-60V DC (default) and 10-20V DC. You can switch between these ranges using the jump cap switch on the board.
Can I use this module to step down the voltage?
No, this is a step-up (boost) converter. The input voltage must always be lower than the desired output voltage. It cannot be used to reduce voltage.
How does the short-circuit protection work, and can I adjust the current via short circuit?
The module has double short-circuit protection, including an input 25A fuse. However, you must NOT adjust the current by short-circuiting the output, as the step-up architecture does not support this method and doing so could damage the module.
Does this module require extra cooling?
Under normal conditions, it works fine. However, if the output current exceeds 10A or the module's operating temperature exceeds 60°C, please strengthen heat dissipation by adding a cooling fan or installing a larger heatsink.
Is there input reverse polarity protection?
No, this module does not have built-in input reverse polarity protection. To protect the module, please connect a diode in series with the input terminal if there is a risk of reverse connection.
Can I use this module to charge a battery directly?
Yes, the module is equipped with output anti-anti-irrigation, so you do not need to add an extra anti-reverse diode. When charging, make sure to connect the battery after it is discharged and adjust the constant current to your required level.
